Hebblethwaite Pedegree Charts and Information
Looking for information about Hebblethwaites? Here is a collection of resources provided by other researchers on Hebblethwaite families:

Anyone researching Hebblethwaites from Yorkshire may be interested to know that a  number of individuals are listed on the Bailey and Sutton Genealogy page. Link opposite:

This site has now reopened after an extensive redesign

I have also had the very kind donation from Peter Hebblethwaite, living in Germany, of two Hebblethwaite Family Trees. These show the descendants of James Hebblethwaite with extensive charts of particular interest to Hebblethwaites with descendants from Norton, Malton, Burton Agnes, and Mirfield. They also contain some of the individuals listed on the Bailey and Sutton Genealogy page.
Chart One (313 KB)

Chart Two (283 KB)

However, please note that the Mirfield / Sedbergh connection has been challenged by Deb Walker, another Hebblethwaite researcher. To view her reply on my Family Search Page, click Here.

Further Hebblethwaites from Northowram and Southowram, Yorkshire, are also to be found in the Thomas page for the website: http://www.afamilyhistory.co.uk/index.htm

Two branches of the Thomas family have links to the Hebblethwaites. John  Ambler married Sarah Hebblethwaite in 1802 and had at least 3 children. Secondly - and as yet there is no know connection with Sarah above - a William Hebblethwaite married Sarah Holt in 1813.

The two PDF files opposite are reproduced from the above website.

Chris Hebblethwaite, whose Great Grandfather was the Tasmanian poet  James Hebblethwaite, has supplied photos of an earlier chart upon which Chart One is possibly based. The document was prepared by the Rev G. Osborne Browne and Chris inherited this from his Grandfather. I have combined the photos into a single image, which can be downloaded by clicking on the Hebblethwaite Pedigree link opposite.

A chart showing the descendants of James Hebblethwaite, Sedbergh, born about 1431 appears in the Visitations of Yorkshire 1584-5 and 1612
A copy of this from the 1875 edition by Joseph Foster is shown on my Heraldic Visitations page.

Richard Nuttall has also supplied charts for Westmorland Hebblethwaites and is looking for further information. Click Here to see his Family Search request. Links to his charts are given opposite:
 Chart 1 (456 KB)  and  Chart 2 (474 KB)

Alan Freer who has a website which traces the descendants of William the Conqueror has been in touch regarding Sir Thomas Hebblethwaits, of Norton, Yorkshire, M.P., b. 1628, d. 1668, who married Barbara Marwood (living 1679). He has provided the link opposite which is based primarily on data published in 1911 with additional information from more recent sources. This page also appears to make use of some of the data found in the charts above.
I have converted the text information from Alan's site into a PDF file that can be downloaded by clicking on the link opposite.

The Midleton Pedegree shows the marriage of John Hebblethwaite of Dent to Bridget Midleton.
The Kitson Pedegree shows the marriage of Robert Hebblethwaite of Killington to Elizabeth Kitson and their children by that marriage.
