My mother was the granddaughter of Albert
Hebblethwaite, son of Joseph H., who was born in England abt 1830. Joseph
married Mahala Jane London on 4 APR 1859 in Portland ME, where he apparently had
settled (haven't been able yet to locate immigration records). Mahala was either
from Canada (I believe Nova Scotia) or born in Aroostok Co. Maine (have found
two differing records.)
My biggest problem is determining on what branch
of the Hebblethwaite tree he belongs. I have lots of family history and photos
from stateside records, but would love to see where in England he came from.
