My husband's ancestor James
Kemp of Steeple Bumpstead, Essex married Elizabeth Hebblethwaite of Hempstead,
Essex about 1834 and they named their second son Thomas Hebblethwaite Kemp.
In 1848 there was a schoolmaster named Thomas Hebblethwaite in Hempstead.
I have found records of two Hebblethwaites born in Hempstead:
Elizabeth abt 1815
William abt 1818
I live in Scarborough so
haven't been able to investigate records in person, all my research has
been online. I'd really like to know if the Essex schoolmaster was the
grandfather of his namesake and where he came from. |
