Message: I am researching the Potter family from Ilkeston in Derby, and have found my gt uncle Sidney Pell Potter (vicar of East and West Leake 1888-1915) was married to Minna Hebblethwaite. I have obtained this info from 1891 census, they were living at the rectory. Minna was 28 in 1891, there were no children but her brother Percival Hebblethwaite was living with them with his wife Annie Selina. Percival was 41. Both have place of birth as Kingston-upon-Hull in Yorks. Percival was in Toxteth in Liverpool on 1881 census at 9 Brompton Ave. with wife and children Harold 3 and Douglas 1. He was Classical Tutor Teacher Graduate MA. and I have since found he was Registrar of Liverpool University, and in Who's Who in 1947. As I said by 1891 he was in Nottingham with only his wife, I assume his children were at a private boarding school. I cannot find Minna Hebblethwaite anywhere in 1881 census, I know she had not married my great uncle by then as he was at Cambridge University in 1881 and unmarried. I think maybe she changed her christian name. Any help you can give me would be great.
