||My maiden name was Hebblethwaite,
and my family has lived in the Stoke-on-Trent area probably from the 1860's-1870's.
On the 1881 census, the family is listed in the Norton area of Stoke-on-Trent,
giving John Hebblethwaite (my great-great grandfather) as age 39, his occupation
Iron Puddler and his place of birth as Kidderminster, Worcestershire. As
Hebblethwaite is such an unusual name, particularly outside the Yorkshire,
Lancashire area do you have any information or ideas as to why they were
located in Kidderminster?
